Letter to Commissioner regarding the Work Programme of the Horizon 2020 Societal Challenges

This letter follows up on the Opinion Paper ‘SSH in Horizon 2020 Societal Challenges: Implementation and Monitoring’ (November 2013), where the Committees for the Humanities and Social Sciences expressed their intention to contribute to monitoring the integration of SSH in all Societal Challenges. In the letter the Committees note with regret that the first Work Programme for the Challenges fails to systematically facilitate the integration of the human and social dimension; they call upon the Commissioner to address this matter and to ensure that their suggestions are being duly taken into consideration in time for the launch of the 2015 Work Programme… read more
