Science Europe Statement on the 4th Anniversary of the War in Ukraine

On the fourth anniversary of the war in Ukraine, Science Europe and its Member Organisations reaffirm their solidarity with the National Research Foundation of Ukraine (NRFU), and the wider Ukrainian research community.

Despite the ongoing war, NRFU and Ukrainian research institutions have demonstrated remarkable resilience and a strong commitment to rebuilding and further developing their research and innovation system in line with international best practices. Science Europe continues to collaborate closely with NRFU through targeted workshops and participation in Working Groups, supporting efforts on Open Science, research monitoring, and the development of a balanced funding ecosystem.

Through this sustained engagement, Science Europe reiterates its enduring commitment to strengthening the Ukrainian R&I ecosystem during the war and throughout reconstruction.
