Our 40 members from 29 European countries bring together national research funding agencies and prominent research performing organisations. They are among Europe’s major players in public research funding. Together they spend over €25 billion on research each year.

Our members work with the Science Europe Office to leverage their collective expertise to shape the best possible conditions and policies for scientific research.

Science Europe’s Member Organisations are highly recognised nationally and internationally. Together, they contribute approximately €25.1 billion to research per year. They join forces in Science Europe to support the best conditions for research and researchers.

Science Europe’s initiatives and advocacy activities are based on the expertise and experience of our members. The Science Europe Office works closely with all members on a daily basis through mechanisms such as its Working Groups, Task Forces, and Policy Networks and through the association’s primary bodies, the Governing Board and the General Assembly.

Science Europe is fully funded by its members.
