It advocates science and the scientific community to help build the European Research Area and shape the global scientific agenda.
Members
Our 40 members from 29 European countries bring together national research funding agencies and prominent research performing organisations. They are among Europe’s major players in public research funding. Together they spend over €25 billion on research each year.
Our members work with the Science Europe Office to leverage their collective expertise to shape the best possible conditions and policies for scientific research.
Governing Board
The Science Europe Governing Board is the senior body of elected members who is entrusted by the General Assembly to define, guide, and monitor the strategic direction of the association. It consists of at least nine Heads of Science Europe's Member Organisations, including a President and two Vice-Presidents.
Governing Board members are elected by the General Assembly for a term of two years.
Global Research Council
The Global Research Council (GRC) is a global virtual organisation dedicated to building or enhancing collaboration across the international research funding community. To this end it promotes dialogue, and the sharing of best practices and data for high-quality collaboration among funding agencies worldwide. Science Europe is a long-time GRC member and is committed to supporting its mission.
Our team
The Science Europe Office identifies and coordinates activities to increase the collective influence and visibility of the association in Europe and globally.
